Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Lifelight is a pioneering popjam band focused on blending modern rock with jam elements. With influences like Husker Du and Dave Matthews Band, their sound is unique and energizing. Lifelight began because Brian needed an outlet for his melodic and guitar-driven songs, hoping to marry Bob Mould's chords and melodies with Allan Holdsworth's jazz fusion improvisation, exemplified on songs like "Hazard Profile Part I" by Soft Machine and "In the Dead of Night" by U.K.
Since Brian's favorite album was Sugar's "Copper Blue," he sought the help of former Sugar member and producer of the Drive-By Truckers David Barbe to achieve solid garage-rock quality. He also enlisted the help of Don Tyler, former mastering engineer at Stephen Marcussen's Precision Mastering.

Brian Saranec is a songwriter, guitarist, and singer from Studio City, California. Influenced by 20th century rock music, his music can be described as “Foo Fighters combined with Dave Matthews Band.” Expect fiery melodies and power-pop riffs, in addition to raw vocals in the style of Bob Mould and Dave Matthews.
A guitarist of over 10 years, Brian has been influenced by players such as Allan Holdsworth, Michael Landau, Robben Ford, Trey Anastasio, Steve Hackett, Steve Howe, Steve Hillage, Gary Green, and Roger McGuinn. Brian's vocal influences are Bob Mould, Dave Matthews, Roger McGuinn, Richard Patrick, Aaron Barrett, Scott Klopfenstein, John Sebastian, John Fogerty, Evan Dando, and Warren Zevon.
